The NVQ stands for National Vocational Qualification and is a work based qualification, vocational qualifications. NVQ's equip students with the skills, knowledge and tools needed to do a specific job effectively.
A NVQ is the equivalent of various different levels of academic qualifications depending on the level or grade you achieve. We currently only offer one NVQ level three course but is an area we intend to grow in the future.
There is no examination, but candidates must be able to demonstrate vocational competence in the workplace and complete a portfolio.
Work is verifief by a qualified Vocational Assessor and regulated by Edexcel - Pearson.
NVQ can be the equivalent of:
NVQ 1 = foundation GNVQ, three to four GCSEs at grades D-E.
NVQ 2 = four or five GCSEs at grades A*–C.
NVQ 3 = two or more A levels.
