This programme of study is designed to develop your knowledge of business and related subject areas with a vocational focus. The qualifications have been developed in close collaboration with experts from professional bodies, businesses and universities. As such, the qualifications are up-to-date with what is expected by both employers and Higher Education professionals. The course is designed to produce highly qualified, employment-ready graduates who are able to play leading roles in a wide range of business management related careers. Upon completion of the course, you will be in a position to progress to the final year top-up in Level 7 Strategic Management and Leadership or pursue a professional qualification in your chosen discipline. 
The first year, you will be studying the following units: 
Business and Business Environments 
Marketing Essentials 
Human Resource Management 
Management and Operations 
Management Accounting 
Managing a Successful Business Project 
Business Law 
Financial Accounting. 
In the second year, you will study the following units: 
Research Project 
Organisational Behaviour 
Business Strategy 
Developing Individuals, Teams and Organisations 
Identifying Entrepreneurial Opportunities 
Launching a New Venture 
Managing and Running a Small Business

Assessment is through the submission of written assignments, coursework, project or examination at the end of each Unit. Assessment is subject to internal and external verification of the units submitted, all units must be passed to achieve the full qualification. 
This course is a full time programme for 24 months and students are required to attend 15 – 21 hours of supervised study per week. 
Entry requirements: 
There are no entry requirements set by the Awarding Body. We make decisions based on students’ potential to successfully complete the programme of study and achieve the qualification. Applicants would benefit most from this programme if they hold one or more of the following: 
A BTEC Level 3 qualification or other related level 3 equivalent qualification 
A GCE Advanced Level profile that demonstrates strong performance in a relevant subject or adequate performance in more than one GCE subject. This profile is likely to be supported by GCSE grades at A* to C (or equivalent) 
Other related Level 3 qualifications 
An Access to Higher Education Certificate awarded by an approved further education institution 
Related work experience 
An international equivalent of the above. 
Non-standard applicants will be required to produce evidence of their ability to study at the Higher Education level such as work experience. Non-standard applicants may be interviewed and may be required to complete a piece of written work as part of their application to ensure they can cope with this course. 
International students are additionally required to achieve an overall score of 5.5 (with each subset no lower than 5.5) in IELTS. Please consult us for further details.
